History
Le comité Aide aux réfugiés espagnols (ARE) a été fondé à Genève en 1958 par Henry et Frieda Jacoby ainsi que Dan et Elizabeth Gallin. Jeanne-Marie Perrenoud en a été la Secrétaire et Rinaldo Borsa le Président, jusqu’à son décès en 1975.
Le Comité avait pour but de soutenir le Spanish Refugee Aid (SRA), organisation fondée en 1953 autour de Nancy MacDonald (1910-1996) et destinée à venir en aide aux réfugiés espagnols résidant en France.
ARE a envoyé pendant près de quarante ans des secours financiers et matériels (vêtements) aux réfugiés installés en France.
